[edit] Removed Vietnam event

I have removed the following line because I haven't been able to find any verification. It was entered on Dec 2nd by User:219.65.123.102 (this IP's only edit):

  • 1945 - In South Vietnam, 1400 French soldiers released by the British from former Japanese internment camps enter Saigon and go on a deadly rampage, attacking Viet Minh and killing innocent civilians including children, aided by French civilians who joined the rampage.

If this event did occur as described, please put it back in (preferably with a link to a relevant article where it is mentioned). --Spondoolicks 16:04, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why was Hobbit Day removed?

It is celebrated by a small amount of people but it is a September 22nd holiday. As it ties into 2 very famous literary character it should remain.

Because it is celbrated by a small amount of people, and no official body on the planet recognises it as a holiday. If you take the day off from work, it comes out of your personal vacation time. Average Earthman 13:47, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, where is the amount of people stated in WP:V? Additionally, meta:Wiki is not paper. I don't have a problem excluding Hobbit Day as a "holiday" but I see very little reason why it excluded from this page... Cburnett 05:14, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Feast of Saint Satan?

In my ~12 seconds of searching I've found nothing to support that satan is or was ever deemed a saint nor that he has a feast recognised by any catholic church.

kthx.

[edit] Fictional Events?

The 'crashing' of Oceanic Flight 815 is fictional, why is it here? darthbob 02:16, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] World Car Free Day!

Ive always thought Septermber 22 was the World Car Free Day (you know, a day to have a collective reminder that we don't have to accept car-dominated societies, cities, or personal lives and all that jazz).

I know for a fact that Adbusters promots it, and i was just thinking that it would be a goood idea to put it up. Anyways, let me here what you think. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.65.178.61 (talk) 01:45, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
