English: Sepiola atlantica, from the Middelkerkebank, Belgian continental shelf
Picture taken on board of the RV Belgica, of a live specimen to preserve colour and structure of chromophores. The animal was released after the picture was taken.

Mantle length: ≈ 20 mm

Total length: ≈ 40 mm
Français : Le calamar Sepiola atlantica. Image prise à bord du RV Belgica, dans le Middelkerkebank, sur le plateau continental belge. L'individu photographié est vivant, afin de préserver sa couleur et la structure de ses chromophores. L'animal a été relaché après la prise de vue.

Longueur totale: 40 mm environ.

Longueur du manteau: 20 mm environ.
Nederlands: De dwerkinktvis Sepiola atlantica van de Middelkerkebank voor de Belgische kust. Deze foto werd genomen van een levend exemplaar, teneinde structuur en kleur van de chromoforen te bewaren. Na het nemen van de foto(s) werd het diertje terug in zee vrijgelaten.
