[edit] Proposing merge with Dabotap
Back when I wrote Dabotap I had the intention to eventually write about Seokgatap and put them both in the same article. Well someone else wrote Seokgatap before me and probably did a better job than I would have done. (Good work Tortfeasor!)
I believe they should be merge into 1 article because:
- Both pagodas were sculpted around the same time and by the same person.
- Geographically, they are located about 10 meters apart (minor detail).
- But most importantly they are associated with the same folklore. If a full article section was to be written about the story of Asadal and his wife (Seokgatap has a description of it but I believe something better can be written) than both article whould be containing the same text.
If the article are to be merged, than it should probably be renamed into something like Dabotap and Seokgatap, or Pagodas of Bulguksa.
About the last one I don't know if there are more than 2 pagodas in Bulguksa but if it's the case it would certainly give space to write about them.

- Luccas: I agree that the strongest rationale to combine the two pagoda articles would be because of the Asadal story. I feel as though there are three options (in my opinion) and I am fine with any of them. 1) Leave the two articles seperate because they are distinctive pagodas and classified as different national treasures or 2) Create the Pagodas of Bulguksa article or 3) Combine all the articles under the Bulguksa article and expand the Bulguksa article with text about the bridges, stairways, and halls. I would slightly favor number 3. Let me know how I can help! Tortfeasor 16:35, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
luccas, i think you have a good point, but i would still lean slightly toward keeping them separate. if they were tiny stubs, tortfeasor's option #3 would be the best solution, but since they are decent stand-alone quality now, i think we should hope that they grow into even more complete individual articles. as tortfeasor said, they are two separate national treasures, & the article titling would be awkward.
