Seo-gu is the largest ward in Incheon, South Korea. Its area is 111.2 km², and it also has the largest area of farmland of Incheon's wards. In the past, Seo-gu was part of 'Buk-gu' [Buk means north in Korean] but in 1988, some part of the ward has separated out to form 'Seo-gu'.
'Buk-gu' no longer exists because in 1995, Book-gu divided into Gyeyang-gu to the north and Bupyeong-gu to the south.
Incheon's English Village, an English language immersion educational site, is located here. Oddly, although it is called Seo (west) -gu, it is located to the NORTH and somewhat to the EAST of Dong (east)-gu.
