[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Aarhus Theater Hi.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Aarhus Theater Hi.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:36, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:BLP

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. As a member of the Wikipedia community, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article must include proper sources. Thank you. SefringleTalk 04:14, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

You have made an edit that could be regarded as defamatory. Please do not restore this material to the article or its talk page. If you do, you may be blocked for disruption. See the blocking policy. SefringleTalk 03:37, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Aarhus_City_Hall.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Aarhus_City_Hall.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 14:10, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:AarhusHallLoRes.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:AarhusHallLoRes.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. [edit] 3rr

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Race and ancient Egypt. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors.

You have already reverted the same revision 3 times, one more and you'll be blocked. Thank you. Please discuss changes to gain consensus instead of imposing your pov..Taharqa 17:58, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I just wanted to tip you about this page where you will find a lot of freely licensed images of Aarhus you can use on wikipedia. Rettetast 06:44, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:TypicallyAarhus.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:TypicallyAarhus.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:41, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your research

Hey Senses. Your research on the word "Aryan" and so on, is great. I to wanted to change the article a while ago but waited. The article needs big changes. for example Aryan article starts with:

Aryan is an English language word derived from Sanskrit and Avestan term ārya- meaning "noble"

This is not correct, Its should start of something like this:

Aryan is an Parthian word derived from PIE word "er" meaning "noble" and later Sanskrit and Avestan term ārya- " and further "er" from PIE combined with the "an" turns into the "noble race", if this is in accordance with Scholar Susan Kaviri. However I will start changing the article soon a lot of the resoning from your discussions can be used. However we can edit together simontenously over a certain period of time, to get a consensus. Get back to me on this, either on the disc page to get others views or directly to me, also sorry about some strange comments in the disc page before, its related to something else..
