Sentosa Station is the first station along the Sentosa Express in Singapore. Located at third level of VivoCity, the northern terminus is just a few levels above HarbourFront MRT Station and the nearby HarbourFront Bus Interchange. It is the only air-conditioned station, the only station on mainland Singapore and the only station with full-height platform screen doors on the line. Just like Changi Airport and Promenade MRT Stations, ticketing, turnstiles and platforms are all on the same level[citation needed]. Like the dismantled Sentosa Monorail stations in the past and Ten Mile Junction station[citation needed], it is currently the only train station in Singapore to feature an organised boarding system — passengers enter via one side of the train after passengers have alighted on the other side.

This is the only Sentosa Express station to be air-conditioned and have platform screen doors at full height.

The working name for this station was Gateway Station and the station opened on January 15, 2007.
