Sense is the second album by rock group Lightning Seeds released in 1992 chiefly produced by Ian Broudie and Simon Rogers.
[edit] History
The album reached #50 in the UK Albums Chart and singles Life of Riley and Sense would chart at a modest #28 and #31 respectively. However interest in the former would increase in later years, partly due to The Lightning Seeds rise in popularity in the mid-nineties but also the song's appearance on BBC's Match Of The Day soundtracking goal compilations.
The Life of Riley, released as a single in March 1992, was written for Broudie's son Riley.
The album's second single, Sense, was co-written by Broudie and Specials singer and long time writing partner Terry Hall. The single would include a track written by Broudie and Simon Rogers from their time as Care, Flaming Sword, as a B-side [1]. Hall would go on to release a re-recorded version of Sense with himself on vocals in 1994.
