Senoia (pronounced "Se-noy-uh") is a city in Coweta County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,738 at the 2000 census. The 2005 estimate shows 2,719 living within Senoia, making Senoia the second largest city in Coweta County.

Note: The local, traditional pronunciation is "Sen-oy," with the "a" being silent.

Senoia is located at 33°18′7″N, 84°33′12″W (33.301849, -84.553450)[3].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.7 square miles (12.2 km²), of which, 4.6 square miles (12.0 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (1.91%) is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,738 people, 632 households, and 489 families residing in the city. The population density was 375.0 people per square mile (144.9/km²). There were 662 housing units at an average density of 142.8/sq mi (55.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 80.03% White, 17.72% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 0.52% from other races, and 1.27% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.55% of the population.

There were 632 households out of which 38.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.9% were married couples living together, 11.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.5% were non-families. 18.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.13.

In the city the population was spread out with 29.6% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 35.5% from 25 to 44, 18.8% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 31 years. For every 100 females there were 98.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.9 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $50,089, and the median income for a family was $56,382. Males had a median income of $36,000 versus $27,900 for females. The per capita income for the city was $18,819. About 5.6% of families and 7.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 10.9% of those under age 18 and 8.6% of those age 65 or over.
