Sennit is a kind of flat cordage made by plaiting thinner strands of rope or grass. It can also be used ornamentally in crafts, like a kind of macrame, or to make straw hats.
Sennit is the western term used for Magimagi which is an exclusive product of the Fiji Islands. Few people in the world know the beauty of this scarce natural resource. Even fewer people (only Fijian Artist) know how to weave the beauty into the traditional Fijian look.
