From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sendai Subway (仙台市営地下鉄 Sendai-shiei Chikatetsu?) consists of one line, the Nanboku Line. Construction of a second line, the Tōzai Line, began in 2004 with a planned opening date of 2015. The Sendai City Transportation Bureau operates the existing line and oversees the construction of the new line.
Fares depend on distance travelled and currently range from 200 yen to 350 yen.
