Semper: A latin word meaning "always" or "forever".

Fubar: An acronym for "Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition".

"Semperfubar" is a play on the Marine motto "Semper Fidelis", which means "Forever Loyal".

I am an Army veteran, drafted, 25th Division infantry squad leader in Vietnam 1969-1970.
