[edit] This article needs splitting into three

This article combines information about three different works by Eccles, Marais and Handel. They should be in separate articles. Many operas (oratorios etc. ) has similar titles and if we combined them all in artuicles like this we would have chaos. I sugggest that the Eccles should be in Semele (opera) (as before), the Handel should be called Semele (oratorio), and the Marais called Semele (Marais). This would need to be checked in Grove. - Kleinzach 23:41, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

I have started transfering the Handel material to the Handel page - but the work is not complete yet. - Kleinzach 19:05, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
