[edit] Voyager 1
I know that the Voyager 1 entry was removed, but I re-added the information because it was notable, considering that Voyager 1 is currently the most distant man-made object. --Ixfd64 05:55, 2005 September 4 (UTC)
I'd say it's a tough call, but if it was up to me, I'd take out Voyager, since there are already enough mentions of it throughout the calendar; this is only the launch date but we have every other date for it already in there... The other 5 are too important to cut...! Codex Sinaiticus 22:19, 4 September 2005 (UTC)
- All right, I've commented out the Voyager 1 entry for now. In that case, it can be easily restored if necessary. --Ixfd64 22:28, 2005 September 4 (UTC)

- For next year, we can move Great Fire of London to September 2 to make room for Voyager 1. Alternatively, we can cycle events in and out throughout the day..... Wish we can show a different set of anniversaries every time the MainPage is refreshed/reloaded... -- PFHLai 08:38, 2005 September 5 (UTC)
[edit] the first President of the Republic of Texas
- Moved from WP:ERRORS.
Not sure this is an error on the Main Page, could just be a conflict, but it says Sam Houston was elected as the first President of the Republic of Texas, with a wikilink at President to List of Presidents of the Republic of Texas, which lists him as the second President of Texas. Maybe he was the first elected President? Anyway, one of these items needs to be corrected. Thanks, Ruhrfisch 02:25, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- David G. Burnet was selected ad interim; Houston was the first elected one. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 03:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
