This can be rotated in by replacing Dred Scott entry:

• 1836 - Texas Revolution: Mexican forces took the Alamo.
• 1857 - U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Dred Scott v. Sandford.

• 1946 - Vietnam War: Ho Chi Minh's agreement with France which recognizes Vietnam.

A suggestion for next year:

• 1945 - Petru Groza of the Ploughmen's Front, a party closely associated with the Communists, became Prime Minister of Romania.

[edit] the Dred Scott case

-- How did the Dred Scott case lead to Constitutional amendments? It didn't. It led to a similar judicial interpretation of Slavery until after the civil war, but it did not prompt amendments.Blaiseball 23:51, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
