From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- 632 - Muhammad, founder of Islam dies
- 1809 - Thomas Paine, American revolutionary and writer of Common Sense dies
Shouldn't that be "dystopian" and not "dystopic"? Somehow "dystopic" doesn't sound right. Revolución 00:41, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

The card used for the 1887 punched card patent illustration is incorrect. The patent itself doesn't seem to specify the number of columns, but the cards first in use based upon that patent had 22 columns, and used round holes, rather than the 80 column rectangular hole cards shown in the illustration. The card illustrated is one which was common from the mid 1920's onward. It seems that people might well infer that the particular card illustrated was the one in use in 1887, which is incorrect. No illustration would probably be better. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.62.103.226 (talk • contribs) 05:42, 8 June 2006 (UTC).
On June 8 793AD the Vikings did their first raid. I think this is worth noting.Cameron Nedland 16:00, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- We need a decent wikiarticle with the verifiable and confirmed date in the text. Which one is it ? -- 64.229.176.142 16:48, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kenenisa Bekele
I think it's worth adding a link to World records in athletics, perhaps thusly:
- 2004 - Ethiopian distance runner Kenenisa Bekele broke the world record for outdoor 10,000 m in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
