Wikipedia talk:Selected anniversaries/June 14
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- 1941 - Mass deportations by Soviet Union authorities take place in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania
- Even though this event is mentioned in the Timeline of World War II, it is not yet a dated part of any articles. The closest mention is in the Lithuania article, but the article does not date this event. Thus by the guidelines, until this event can be placed and dated in an article, we have to move this event out of the Selected Anniversaries. Ancheta Wis 04:55, 14 Mar 2004 (UTC)
1985 - TWA Flight 847 is hijacked by Hezbollah - since there's no artlce about this hijacking, can we come up with something else? RickK | Talk 05:04, 14 Mar 2004 (UTC)
1940 Auschwitz was opened by Nazi Germany I believe this is an incorrect date. The Auschwitz museum [1] says it was opened mid 1940. The Wikipedia article says Auschwitz I was founded on May 20, 1940. This should probably be removed from the list of June 14. Ydorb 23:42, 9 Apr 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Mass deportations of Baltic peoples
- 1941 - Soviet mass deportations and murder of Estonians, Lithuanians and Latvians begun.
- Why is this not included??? It is the most significant event that took place on this day!
- Where is the wikipage on this event ? -- 64.229.230.103 17:22, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
