re the 1978 entry--Volkswagen was NOT the first non-US auto manufacturer to build cars in the US. Rolls-Royce briefly built autos in Springfield, Mass for around 3 years in the mid 1920s. They are often referred to as "Springfield Rolls" and are highly prized. versen 04:48, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

-- PFHLai 18:34, 10 April 2007 (UTC) I would like to bring up the 44th anniversary of the loss with all on board of the USS Thresher, a US Navy nuclear submarine (and a prototype) on April 10th, 1963. I feel it is worth a place on 'this day in history' headings. Sorry if I have not entered this correctly, I have never done this before. Thanks. tadenny626Tadenny626 09:57, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
