Talk:Selenographic coordinates

I disagree that this article needs help. It is complex, but necessarily so. RPellessier | (Talk) 09:24, 7 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I agree that it is a complex subject and by listing it as needing help I don't mean to imply that it is of poor quality. However I feel there must be some way making it more accessible to people who are not experts in this area. I am accustomed to reading technical articles and yet I still struggled to understand this one. I have read the article several times and still don't properly understand the information it is trying to convey, and neither did anyone else I showed it to (all of whom have science degrees of some variety). Perhaps some diagrams would help make this article easier to understand.Sonelle 10:26, 7 Feb 2005 (UTC)

- Highly technical, reuqires translation for laymen by someone familiar with the subject. (I wouldn't know where to start) Sonelle 14:10, 4 Feb 2005 (UTC)

- Okay I tried to further clarify it. Many of the details are actually covered in other pages on coordinate systems, so now it's a bit redundant. But I hope this helped. — RJH 23:22, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I had a stab at clarifying this article, as some of the sentences were quite ambiguous. I also moved the article a more general name: Selenographic coordinates. Have at it. ZorkFox 07:09, 28 September 2005 (UTC)

For the co-ordinates of 'Mösting A' doesn't there need to be a implication of what compass direction the co-ordinates are? For example, 3°N, 45°W? I would put them in, but I don't know which directions those co-ordinates are for, and perhaps I am wrong to think that it works the same way as on Earth...?
