Selma Chalabi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Selma Chalabi was born in Britain to an Iraqi father and English mother.[1][2] She is a well respected film maker and has produced numerous short films about her fathers homeland, in a bid to not only discover more of her Arabic roots but also destroy the usual portrayal that the media have towards Iraqis. She worked with and received support from Valley and Vale Community Arts when directing and producing Land Of My Father. She is the Round 2 Award winner of the Commedia Millennium Awards.
