Selaiah is a progressive death metal band from Lohr, Germany. It was founded in 2004 by guitarist Benedikt Kuhn.

Since their formation in 2004, Selaiah has played at various festivals such as Up From the Ground.

In December 2005 all the members except Kuhn left the band. He began to audition new members for Selaiah in the Spring of 2006.

In April 2006 Marc Schuhmann and Max Vissers joined the band as drummer and bassist respectively. This trio continued to write new material while still searching for musicians to complete their line-up.

Selaiah released their first EP, entitled "Alpha Error" on 23rd December 2006, and in January 2007, Robin Helm joined the band as an additional guitarist.
