[edit] Lippo Karawaci Campus
As the first SPH campus to be built, the Lippo Karawaci Campus continues to be SPH's flagship campus. Leading to the area occasionally being associated with Sekolah Pelita Harapan. Located in the neighborhood area of an international township west of Jakarta, SPH Karawaci is a 20-minute drive from Jakarta. Spanning over eleven hectares of land, the campus comprises nine blocks, housing six main buildings, all of which are connected by shaded corridors. It is one of the best schools with great facilities in Indonesia.
The campus has undergone several major renovations and expansion during its life. The last expansion of the east wing - which comprises three blocks that currently houses the Senior School and its supporting facilities - was completed in 1998. The campus is the first school in Indonesia to be equipped with wireless internet access when the service is introduced in 2004.
The three main Senior School computer laboratories have been collectively renamed as the Senior School Computer Center. In total, the campus houses eight science laboratories, eight computer laboratories, a wood technology laboratory, a food technology laboratory, three chapels/multipurpose venues, two libraries, two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, two outdoor basketball courts, five tennis courts, two softball fields, two soccer fields, a rock climbing wall, a jogging track, a bank, a clinic, a book store, and two canteens. The horse stable which once offered students with equestrian facilities have been temporary closed until further notice due to high running costs and low demand.
The Student Council has recently introduced Indonesia's first e-council system, mystudentcouncil.com. Since its signature annual Arts Festival last held in 2002, the Student Council have been focusing on in-school events. During this period, the Student Council have introduced a number of well-received events including PH Idol, Battle of the Bands, and the Deeper Concert Series. To kick off its 15th anniversary celebration, the Student Council will introduce a new logo to re-enforce its vision and mission in addition to the new events concept brought under the month of celebration named Magical Christmas and Love Actually. 2008 saw the come back of Arts Festival after on hiatus for six years in a fresh new format known as the Creative Community Celebration.
The eYearbook Committee, founded in 2004, is an independent committee set up to develop the school's frist eYearbook for the MYP graduating class. The eYearbook is also among the first of its kind in Indonesia. Creatively designed by students, the yearbook is based on the .Net programming system and offers a student information database in addition to over 300 images. On the other hand, the Yearbook Committee which was founded over a decade ago have long been known as a consistent performer in creading a benchmark in Indonesia's yearbook production industry. Among its achievements is the first to offer a personalized option, back to back cover and digital photography throughout the yearbook. Yearbook Committee is the first committee in school to use no paper on meetings and take all meeting minutes digitally through the use of the latest technology. Yearbook 07/08 will feature another firsts including the world's first full high definition interactive dvd, the inaguration of annual music collection and the first to offer video clips on all major school events.
The campus is also renowned for its Performing Arts Department, primarily through the school's drama productions (including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The King and I (from the original Anna and the King), and the Sound of Music) as well as its choir and orchestra team in forming the Twilight Youth Orchestra and Karawaci Community Choir and Orchestra.
