Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Ampang (SMKBBA) (English: Bandar Baru Ampang High School; Chinese: 安邦新镇国中) is situated in the town of Bandar Baru Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia. The school motto is the malay phrase: Berilmu dan Beramal.
SMKBBA was established on 1th of January 2002. At the early stage, the school holded only 383 students and 32 teachers. The respective principal of the school until present is Tuan Haji Abdul Gaffar bin Kunchi Mohd (2002-2008).

The school song was written and composed by Shuzaidi B. Shamsudin. He wrote the song in Malay. Students today sing the anthem once a week during the "school assembly".

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Ampang officially started operating on the 1st of January 2002. In the early stage, the school had to operate in SMK Tasik Permai for a year due to the delay in the school’s building completion. On the first year, the school consisted of 7 Remove classes, 6 Form 1 classes which holded 383 students. It had 32 teachers and 5 staff.
The first Principal (known as the Headmaster) of SMK Bandar Baru Ampang is Tuan Haji Abdul Gaffar bin Kunchi Mohd from Kajang, Selangor. On the 28th of November 2002, YB Tan Sri Musa Mohamed, The Minister of Education Malaysia had visited the actual on-building site of the school and stressed that the construction work of the school must be done in time.
Thank God that on the 1st of January 2003, the construction work of the school was done. It was only in the beginning of January 2003 that the secondary school was officially moved to its current permanent presence in Bandar Baru Ampang, Selangor under the permission from The Minister of Education Malaysia; and at that time, SMK Bandar Baru Ampang consisted of 5 Remove classes, 10 Form1 classes and 5 Form2 classes which holded total of 742 students. Besides that, the number of teachers had raised to 40 and 6 staff.

The school magazine of the SMKBBA is named the Cemerlang. It is published annually by the Cemerlang Editorial Board.
