Details of Elections will appear here when they occur. The first election will be for Tranche 1 Councillors, who will be elected for an interim term.

[edit] Full Term Elections

These are for the re-election of councillors whose terms have expired. They occur in:-

  • January (Tranche 1)
  • May (Tranche 2)
  • September (Tranche 3)

The Elections will take the following format.

Presisential Announcement The group President Announces the Election.

[edit] Days Two to Five

Candidates Declare Any interested candidate puts their name on a list of interested candidates. During this period, clerks inform all members of the election via their talk pages.

[edit] Days Two to Six

Candidates are Nominated Candidates must be nominated by two other members to run for election. Each member may nominate two declared candidates to run. Candidates may only be nominated after they declare. 'Canvassing' Support is permitted at this stage.

[edit] Days Seven to Eleven

Polls Open All members vote for up to three candidates in the election. From this councillors whose terms have expired are no longer permitted to vote (even if they are seeking re-election). 'Canvassing' is not permitted at this stage.

[edit] Day Twelve

Appointment of new Councillors The new councillors are appointed and sign the declaration of acceptence. After signing the declaration, they are permitted to vote in council votes. Once all of the councillors sign the declaration, the President tables a motion to welcome new councillors to the council, and the clerks update the councillor details on every relevant page.
