[edit] Can dogs tell when someone is about to have a seizure from smell?

I heard that seizure dogs, can tell someone is about to have a seizure from smelling a chemical change in their body. I'm not sure if this is true, but I've heard dogs can do it because they have such a sensitive sense of smell. Violet yoshi (talk) 00:54, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't believe anyone's exactly figured out what makes some dogs capable of predicting seizures. Remember that each case is different, so it's possible that some dogs may be tipped off by scent, while others may notice changes in behavior or other cues.
