The Seinfeld Series consists of several main seasons, this guide is to organize the episodes of 'Season 9' which was originally aired through 1997-1998.

Seinfeld was produced by Castle Rock Entertainment and distributed by Columbia Pictures Television and Columbia TriStar Television (now Sony Pictures Television) and was aired of NBC in the US. The executive producers were Larry David, George Shapiro, and Howard West with Tom Garnmill and Max Pross as supervising producers. Bruce Kirschbaum was the executive consultant.[1] This season was directed by Andy Ackerman.
The series was set predominantly in an apartment block on New York City's Upper West Side; however, the fourth season was shot and mostly filmed in CBS Studio Center in Studio City, California.[2] The show features Jerry Seinfeld as himself, and a host of Jerry's friends and acquaintances, which include George Costanza, Elaine Benes, and Cosmo Kramer, portrayed by Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards, respectively.[3]

NBC executives decide to add Jerry and George's pilot, Jerry to the fall season. The two plan on leaving for Los Angeles and decide to vacation in Paris with Elaine and Kramer before they leave. The plans are cancelled however when their plane experiences turbulence and is forced to land for repairs. They are arrested for breaking a law in Latham County, Massachusetts. | ||||||||

In addition to being convicted of disobeying the Good Samaritan law, Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer are also on trial for being poor influences. After hearing several testimonies from many returning characters, Judge Vandelay sentences the four of them to a year in prison. |

- In Disc 4, if you select on The Finale episode preferences, and go down to the finger print, it shows an alternate ending in the court with the 4 being innocent.
- In Disc 4, if you highlight 'Exhibit A' in the top corner of the extras menu screen, you will see an extra 'Seinimation' entitled the Van Wyk, from the season 2 episode The Busboy.
