Seia (pron. IPA: ['sɐiɐ]) is a city and a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 435.7 km² and a total population of 27,574 inhabitants. City population about 7.000.
The municipality is composed of 29 parishes, and is located in the District of Guarda, situated on the northwestern slope of Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain range in mainland Portugal.
The present Mayor is Eduardo Mendes de Brito, from Loriga, elected by the Socialist Party.
The municipal holiday is July 3.
