Sehome High School, the home of the Mariners, is a public school and a part of the Bellingham School District in Washington, United States. Sehome High serves students mainly from the southern end of the City of Bellingham.

  • September 1966: School Opens with only Junior, Sophomore, and Freshmen classes. Alma mater and fight song created.[1]
  • June 1968: The first ever Sehome graduates leave Sehome.
  • September 1968: Sehome switches from semester to trimester based scheduling.
  • September 1972: Groundwork laid for Sehome computer network.
  • September 1985: Received technology grant and bond and created computer writing lab with 250 computers.
  • October 1986: Iron Maiden plays an impromptu gig as their tour bus breaks down in the area. Thankful for the locals help in repairing their bus, they performed for the community in the school's gymnasium.
  • March 1996: Sehome Basketball team wins state title with a perfect 30-0 record.
  • April 2000: Culminating Project instituted under Principal Jim Kistner.
  • May 2003: Sehome Men's Soccer team (18-2-3) wins state title over rival Squalicum High School (18-4) in Washington AAA division. [2]
  • May 2007: Sehome Baseball team wins state title for the first time since 1983.
  • November 2007: Girls Swimming wins the state title.
  • May 24th, 2008: Sehome Baseball, Boys Track, and Boys Soccer win the state title.
