Changes took place within as the Segunda Divisón was renamed Liga de Ascenso de Honduras

  • All former reserve teams were forced to change names and loosen ties with former clubs.
  • The following name changes and relocations took place:
  • Motagua Reservas were renamed Aguilas del Motagua
  • Olimpia Reservas were renamed Olimpia Club
  • Real España Reservas were renamed Real Choloma
  • Victoria Leyde (reserves of Victoria) were renamed Real Mallorca
  • Comayagua were renamed Hispano
  • Tulín were renamed Juticalpa Tulín
  • Universidad Reservas were renamed Pumas de Universidad
  • Marathón Reservas were renamed América Marathón and were relocated from San Pedro Sula to San Juan Pueblo de Tela
  • Buenos Aires (Danlí) were renamed Super Estrella
  • Platense Pumas (reserves of Platense) ceded their place to Atlético Municipal (Santa Cruz de Yojoa)
