The 1961-62 Segunda División season saw 32 teams participate in the second flight Spanish league. Deportivo, Córdoba, Valladolid and Málaga were promoted to Primera División. San Sebastián, Cultural Leonesa, Ceuta, Villarrobledo and Albacete were relegated to Tercera División.
