Talk:Sedition

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] The graphic (sedition is a subset of treason) is wrong but I'm not comfortable just deleting it from the article

From the article's legal definition of "sedition" -- "Sedition complements treason..."

A complement cannot be, by definition, a part of what it complements. Only the most politically narrow view can consider sedition as de facto treason. Since the Age of Reason it should certainly lay more in the Venn of free speech than treason.

[edit] Sedition and War

If the United States has not declared war, like in Iraq, are acts that interfere with the military still considered sedition? Acumensch 14:55, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
