Seddon is an inner suburb to the west of the city of Melbourne, Australia. It was named after Richard Seddon, the New Zealand Prime Minister 1893-1906. The postcode is 3011.
Seddon is generally considered to be part of Footscray, though is officially a separate suburb. Seddon lies between the two suburbs of Footscray and Yarraville. Seddon's railway station is on the Werribee and Williamstown railway lines of the Melbourne train network. It also has the Seddon Cricket Club whose home ground is Yarraville Gardens.
Opposite the train station is the 5th Footscray Scout Group. With program for children aged 6 to 15, this is part of Scouts Australia. The group meets in a histroic hall on railway land.
