Shawn Edward Crapo (pronounced CRAY'po), is an American artist and musician. He was born in Fairfield, CA on July 25, 1971 to Ronald Eugene Crapo and Stella Jean Wright. He has had a lifetime full of artistic pursuits, including; drawing, painting, and CG art and animation. He has also played in numerous amateur Heavy Metal bands from age 16 to the present. He currently operates a website called Necropolis Digital Art.

[edit] Early Life

Shawn was born at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA. His father, Ron, was a US Navy nuclear sub technician aboard the USS Sam Rayburn. The family later moved to Groton, CT where Shawn and his mother lived in a small apartment while his father was on active duty. After his successful discharge from the Navy as a CPO, Ron moved the family to Decatur, IL where he obtained a job as a nuclear engineer at Illinois Power in nearby Clinton, IL.

Shawn attended South Shores Elementary School from grades K-6, where he discovered his talent and love for drawing. He attended John's Hill Middle School for 7th and 8th grades, and finally Dwight D. Eisenhower High School. It was there he was introduced to the guitar and Heavy Metal music.
