[edit] In the movie
Secundus arrives at his father's deathbed late. He, with his brothers, Septimus, Primus and Tertius, have met with their father, who has noticed that he has four surviving sons. When he enters the room dramatically with regal theme music playing in the background we feel sure that he will be the most important of the four princes however we are subsequently proven wrong. Unable to decide on the four sons, the King instructs Secundus to look out of the window and tell him what he sees. Secundus, feeling sure that he will inherit the Kingdom of Stormhold, does so however he is subsequently pushed out of the window and killed by his younger brother, Septimus, much to the King's amusement. Septimus then goes on to kill all of his other brothers and become one of the two main antagonists, the other being Lamia. Secundus, now a ghost, meets with his dead brothers Quartus, Quintus, and Sextus. The three of them tell him that he is stuck as a ghost until a king is crowned. Secundus feels sad that he has almost succeeding in taking the throne. Since then, he and his brothers, including Tertius, watches Septimus and Primus going after the stone. Primus joins his ghostly brothers as Lamia kills him by cutting his throat. He, along with his brothers, watches the final battle between Septimus, Tristan, and Lamia. After Tristan becomes king, Secundus, along with his brothers, passes on to the afterlife.
