Secret Society
(2008)

Secret Society is the eponymous debut studio album by American hip hop supergroup Secret Society, to be released in 2008 by Psycho+Logical-Records. Although it was first slated for an October 25, 2005 release and then a January 2006 release, the album has since been delayed due to former Secret Society member Goretex dropping his connections with the album and other Psycho+Logical-Records artists.

The album cover depicts a humanoid robot, an insectoid, two pathologists and several Apoidea-like organisms performing an autopsy on a skeletal extraterrestrial life form in an Area 51 laboratory.

July 4, 2005 would see the debut of Secret Society; a song titled "The World Is Gore" featured on Necro and Ill Bill's mixtape Street Villains Vol. 2 marked the first credit to the group by name. A Psycho+Logical-Records sampler featuring the song, released in September 2005, also revealed that Secret Society's upcoming self-titled debut album would be released on October 25, 2007. The record ultimately failed to meet this scheduled release date.

[edit] Current status

Secret Society has been complete for nearly three years, but has been delayed twice for reasons unknown, although it may be related to Non Phixion disbanding in July 2006 due to Goretex's "unreliability" and "lack of interest", and the fact that he has since severed ties with its members and possibly even Necro. However the album is currently being promoted on Necro's MySpace profile as, "a whole album revolving around the illuminati, aliens, and conspiracy," much like Non Phixion's unique subject matter such as government conspiracies, secret assassinations and alien cover-ups.
