Secret Sex is the sixth episode of the first season of the HBO television series Sex and the City. It originally aried on July 12, 1998.

Carrie and Mr. Big have their first official 'date'. They sleep together on the first night, and after developing an appetite, Mr. Big takes Carrie to a Chinese restaurant. At the Chinese restaurant, Carrie's friend Mike Singer tells her that sometimes people may keep their partner secret possibly because they are ashamed of them. This causes Carrie to suspect that Mr. Big is keeping her secret from his social circle but turns out its all in her imagination.
Meanwhile, after Miranda knocks out Ted Baker during gym class, they start dating until she discovers a spanking video in Ted's apartment. Miranda makes a joke about spanking, Ted never returns her calls thereafter.
