Second Language was released in 1990 in the UK through the label Rough Trade. It was Disco Inferno's fourth EP from the famous "The Five EPs" collection that was soon to be circulating from early- to mid-90s. The EP follows the style of the previous ones with delay-laden tracks with the exception of "A Little Something". The first track displays Ian Crause's interest in bending notes and using the whammy, and it is continued more subtly on the second track, "The Atheist's Burden".
