[edit] Speedy deletion
What was the article deleted? Why was it deleted? Are you aware of the procedure for appeal of such deletions? --Orange Mike 16:21, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I am now after some investigation. I understand and agree to the reason. I object to the "How" is was done. Why not politely tell the writer that he needs to add Notability to his article and republish it? Or have it posted automatically to his talk page, if that's too involved.--Sebastian Stadil 17:45, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- That information is posted to the article rather than to a specific editor, since nobody owns a particular article, and it is assumed that articles you have created are on your watchlist. --Orange Mike 18:43, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Let me rephrase this. I added information to a non-existent article. Rather than remove this information, why not leave a days' notice to the contributor to add some 'specified' information necessary to avoid removal?--Sebastian Stadil 00:03, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

- That's not a bad idea. Indeed, most people placing a speedy-delete do notify the editors who've worked on the article most recently; but it is not compulsory to do so. You are welcome to make the suggestion that this be made part of the standard procedure for speedy deletes. --Orange Mike 13:10, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
