[edit] Career

Leto began his career with Buenos Aires club Lanús and broke into the first team in 2005. By the summer of 2006, he was linked with several European teams[1], but did not end up making a move until the summer of 2007 when he was signed by Liverpool for £1.85 million ($3.6million)[citation needed].

He arrived at Liverpool in June 2007 and made his debut for the club in a friendly against Shanghai Shenhua in August, 2007[2]. He made his competitive debut against French side Toulouse FC in a UEFA Champions League qualifying round fixture in August 2007[3]. Since then he has featured in another Champions League game and two Carling Cup matches. He is yet to make his league debut but frequently features for the Liverpool FC Reserves due to problems with his passport.
