  • Deutsch: Sebald Beham: Joseph und Potiphars Weib, 1544
  • English: Copperplate print, 8.1 x 5.6 cm. Note: This print has been defaced: Joseph's private parts, normally apparent, have been deleted (see F.W.H. Hollstein, German Engravings Etchings and Woodcuts 1400-1700, Menno Hertzberger, Amsterdam 1954, vol. III, p. 13). This modification is not a 'state': it is a deliberate defacement of this single copy. The outline of the deleted 'part' is actually clearly visible at the top of Joseph's left thigh, directly under the pubic hair.
