[edit] Re:Editing Question
What's the point in turning [[Infinity Inc.]] into [[Infinity Inc.|Infinity Inc]] ? I couldn't see a reason, so I reverted and added a full stop mark. Regards, Lesfer (talk) 03:04, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Ski

[edit] Beer cat question
It has been suggested by User:BrianSmithson and supported by User:Syrthiss that the Beer and brewery categories should be renamed. This proposal has been supported and expanded by myself. The notion is that the regional categories should follow the format of "Beer and breweries in Africa" /Europe/Asia/North America/South America/Oceania. "Brewers and breweries" could also be renamed "Beer and breweries by region". And all the countries should also be renamed (and merged if needed) as, for example, "Beer and breweries of Germany", "Beer and breweries of Britain", "Beer and breweries of Poland". The word in each case would be beer rather than beers to allow for general articles on beer culture in each region as well as individual beers.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Anon_logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Anon_logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. [edit] Okemo links
You're probably right. I'm quite new to this spam patrolling lark and I have been quite ruthless at times. I see that ebay has a link to www.ebay.com and Wal-Mart has a link to www.walmart.com, so I suppose it's only right that Okemo has a link to its official site as well.
Thanks for pointing that out to me.

[edit] Novice Wikipedian
Hi, PJ, Like your work on the HookedOnWinter wiki. Myself, I am gearing up for some heli in Canada and then hoping there is still some snow in CA at the end of the month...it's been a good year since I live in Verbier. As such, I'll chip in on that as soon as I free up a few mins (when the snow finishes melting!). Meanwhile, thanks for the edits on the faction article and the offer of suggestions. It is my first time in the community. I used Armada, Solomon Sports and Vokl as my references to build it up, but am happy to make it right and add a few more entries. Let me know what you think would improve the entry. A —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Alexhoye (talk • contribs) 23:05, 8 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Request for Help
{{helpme}}
Thanks to whoever gets this.
I just created a userbox:
CC |
Colorado College |
And I think as part of a project someone added a category to it:
Category:Wikipedians by alma mater: Colorado College
However, for some reason usernames - particularly mine since I'm the only one so far - aren't showing up on the category page. I do have the userbox on my user page... Any ideas? Thanks
Searles2sels (PJ) 14:33, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- The categories on a page don't update instantly when included via templates. I've done a null edit to your userpage (one which makes no difference to the way it renders) and you're in the category now. Hope that helps! --ais523 14:40, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] BTAT
Hi, thanks for asking about my "bands-that-allow-taping" efforts. I have created the categories: Category:Taper-friendly musicians and Category:Taper-friendly musical groups. Both are linked from the List of bands which permit recordings of their performances (which I hoped would encourage people to use them), and I did the initial population of the categories from the bands at the Internet Archive. I think the next step is probably to review the musicians/bands listed in the list above, to see if the claim that they permit recordings of their performances can be verified from some sort of reliable source. (A statement on the band's web page is probably good enough for a case like this, but third-party reports probably aren't.) Ones that can be verified need to have the source mentioned in their article, and then they can be added to appropriate category. Ones that can't be verified should probably be listed for further research/review on the list talk page. Xtifr tälk 06:36, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Steak and a Blowjob Day
See Wikipedia:Deletion_review#Steak_and_Blowjob_Day. I made the DRV nomination myself, and the concensus was that this topic didn't have any solid sources. I can't find anything sufficient myself, and your version of the article just posted doesn't hold up the either. If you ever happen to find "reliable" sources for this article, that may be the time to write it, and include them immediately. Thanks for trying -- it makes the place better! (yes, I'm also placing a speedy-delete on it... my apologies at the same time) --Auto(talk / contribs) 02:36, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] A proposal for stopping a long standing edit war.
See Talk:adolescent sexuality for information on the proposal. It would create a branch off article containing solely views on the subject and hopefully get rid of the POV currently in the articles which are supposed to say what adolescent sexuality is. Not is it good or bad. In my opinion I say let the POV wars take place in an article ABOUT POV. not elsewhere. Tell us what you think at the above link. Nateland 02:19, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] external links - thanks
by the way... you are a champion for inquiring on the Skiing talk page before adding it to the article ;). Thanks! ... Almost summer solstice, then we can officially start pulling for snow again! ;p ∴ here…♠ 16:46, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] League of Copyeditors roll call
Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there. The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors. |

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Bristolbrewing.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Bristolbrewing.JPG. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:56, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
