The Way It Is

  1. I value all feedback. No need to be afraid.
  2. Discussions are archived whenever I get around to it. If you wish to revive an old topic of discussion, bring it up again here, but don't copy anything over to here from the archive. That'd be silly.
  3. I will usually reply on your talk page. Anywhere else is just stupid.
  4. I might edit your comments. Not what they say, but they may be edited for stupidity. Tough beans.
  5. Be nice.
  6. If you don't properly sign your message, I might not bother replying to it at all.

Please sign and date comments using 4 tildes (~~~~). If you do not, then there really wasn't much of any point in even leaving a message.

[edit] Sorry to bring up your signature again but...

...I've made it shorter! See my efforts here - same functionality, less code. Has to be a Good Thing, no? Regards, —Celestianpower háblame 21:31, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

I have made it even shorter (same page). It displays just as it does now - but will keep more people happy. I do hope you decide to use a shorter one. Ian¹³/t 16:07, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sealand

Thanks for your work on Sealand. Since you say you are in touch with them, I thought you might know where I can get more details on Alexander Achenbach, Gernot Putz, and the Spanish Sealand crime ring.

Thanks!

[edit] Eric Rudolph

Eric Rudolph is no coward. If anything he is brave. The real coward are abortion doctors who murder for money. TripleH1976 11:11 a.m., 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi Search4, I urge you not to feed this troll. He has a long history of being a violent fundamentalist on Wikipedia. I originally tangled with him because of his edits to Jacob D. Robida, a neo-nazi that chopped up a gay bar with a hatchet. Of course in TripleH1976's eyes, that makes him a good christian that is now in heaven. The best response to this kind of guy is just to watch his edits closely. -Quasipalm 16:17, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] rock on.

Well, do you have any proof that those Myspace accounts were made by Adult Swim? It could have been easily made by some 13 year old fan of adult swim. Also, YouTube is famous for having fan created videos, and a "extended" version of a promo seemed kinda weird to me. We need accurate links, not fake ones. dposse 17:33, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the tip on the "Lebanon County, PA MSA"!

Thanks for the tip about my erroneous "Lebanon County, PA MSA" data. I've corrected it to "Lebanon, PA MSA".

[edit] Get The Picture Corporation

Yeeha, there's a new Sheriff in town, and he's toting the white-hot pistols of anti-commercialism. The new speedy deletion criterion about "advertising" falls pretty smack onto this article. I don't reckon that you intended it as such, and I think that the wording needs tightening up, but that's how it is these days. Perhaps a larger article on this whole industry? With a section about how popular lifting your gf's top right when the picture gets taken on the log ride?
brenneman {L} 06:17, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Aaron... with all due respect, you haven't given me much of a chance to work on the article at all. I'm still in the middle of working on it. Give a guy a chance. Advertising? Hardly. Search4Lancer 06:19, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm not due much respect! It's at User:Search4Lancer/Get The Picture Corporation now. It's a new thing, this anti-advertising purge, and the kinks aren't worked out yet. - brenneman {L} 06:23, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
How about this... I'll continue working on it in my user space, and I'll show it to ya when I'm done... eh? I fail to see how an article on a company with several hundred employees across the country wouldn't make the cut, and like I said before, I'm nowhere near done with it. Search4Lancer 06:28, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Works for me. - brenneman {L} 06:52, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
User:Search4Lancer/GTP - eh? I might even be able to get company history information, if I can find that old newsletter... Or if I can get somebody to dig one out for me. Not counting on it, though. Search4Lancer 07:12, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
I've even omitted the words "high quality" - not because of policy, but because it was a lie - some of the pictures just plain suck (don't tell my managers I said that!). Search4Lancer 07:17, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm... playing devil's advocate, there are quite a few around who are interpreting the new guideline far more braodly than me, and I reckon this would still get the chop. Check the logs to see what's getting a G11. Mentions in secondary sources is the cracker on these. But I'm guessing it would be hard to find in this case. I'll dig a little to see what I can find. - brenneman {L} 07:20, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The spelling of magic in the Wicca article

Hi, Search4Lancer. While I agree that many Wiccans do spell Magic with the final "K" to distinguish it from stage magic, this is not a majority practice, and is quite rare among the non-Wiccan Witches I have met. Now, your mileage may vary, and you may know Wiccans or Witches who spell it with the final k, but as it stands we've been using the more traditional spelling and avoiding the neologism. Thanks! [edit] You scare me!

You appear quite strange to me. I am scared. Waaaaaa! You might want to rethink that picture of you. It doesn't seem to reflect the best of you. No offence. Asteroidz R not planetz 14:23, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Picture

You might want to think about having a different picture on your page. It doesn't look like one of your better pics.

[edit] Three Mile Island

Can I just ask why you removed the templates here, with no edit summary and marking it as minor? Thanks. —Vanderdeckenξφ 19:19, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sphynx pics

Schuminweb,

The two Sphynx photos you uploaded, one of a kitten and another as an adult... are they the same cat? The colorations appear to be the same, so I'm thinking so, but just want to satisfy my curiosity (like a cat) and make sure.

Thanks, and please respond on my talk page (in addition to wherever else you wish)

Search4Lancer 06:22, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

You know, I actually didn't take the photos myself. I just made a few edits to them and then re-uploaded them. You actually would want to contact User:Peter Mollard about that, since he's the one who originally contributed the images. I admit, though, when looking at them again, that spot does look the same, so it's not outside the realm of possibility. SchuminWeb (Talk) 19:59, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
It's not even just the large spot on the side, both of them also have a spot behind the right ear... if you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks anyway, though, I'll check with Peter. Search4Lancer 01:39, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:CVU status

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
