[edit] Elucidate Deletion
Here's the link to the deletion page. It shows that the article was simply a definition of the word "elucidate" and thus that article needed to be deleted.
However, I see that Elucidate the artist does have some notability, so I have asked an administrator about the deletion and a possible revert. In the meantime, I suggest you begin an article for this place at User:Seanb995/Elucidate just so you can begin drafting. Once you have the beginnings of an article, I'll post this at deletion review.
Thoughts?

[edit] License tagging for Image:Elucidate.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Elucidate.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:05, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mind if I help?
Read these for help in your drafting:
I saw that your uploaded image was a promo pic, so I added the tag {{promotional}} tag to the page. Things with {{ and }} around them are templetes: they add a premade box or whatever to the article or picture page. One example is this: {{UnivSysGa}}, which looks like:
|
The actual box is at Template:UnivSysGa, but we can copy-paste it in with the short template. Note that to write {{UnivSysGa}}, I had to use <nowiki></nowiki> tags, which make the computer ignore wiki code. Does this help?
I'll add some comments to your article soon after you've done some more work. Does that sound ok?

[edit] Response
Yes that would be a great help... thanks very much for your support! :)
[edit] Comment location?
Where yould you like me to comment on the draft?
It can be at User talk:Seanb995/Elucidate (which you might not check regularly), under a comments heading at the draft page, or here on your talk page. Also, please know this, from my welcome message: Always sign your posts on talk pages! That way, others will know who left which comments. You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. This is very important and helps to separate all the messages. You can edit your signature under "my preferences" at the top right.

There's a good one. Do it like "The band has been called __________" <ref> thing
See the Parthanon article notes and references section. Hope this helps --\/\/slack (talk) 23:38, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Elucidate
Ok, gave it to the admin to look at. If the admin still doesn't think it worthwhile so we'll go to deletion review in a few days. \/\/slack (talk) 01:51, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Choices
See User_talk:Wslack#Elucidate
I think his idea of saying the Global broadcasting first is smart.
So here are your options:
- Post it then list it on Articles for Deletion per Xoloz
- Try to find more third-party sources (newspapers/magazines are valid)
- Post it to be undeleted
I recommend trying #2 then going with #1. Thoughts?

[edit] Page removal
Actually, just let it sit there. It does no harm, and you won't use Wikipedia's server energy to delete it. (even if you do, it stays in the memory. If there is an magazine article one day, then you have a article to post! If you want others to not see it, then remove the links to it on this page.

[edit] Elucidate
Hi Sean,
I honestly can't tell you if you have enough there to prove notability -- I do think you have enough to avoid speedy deletion, and I appreciate all the work you've put into the thing. What I will do is this: I will move the article back to the main-space, and send it to AfD myself. The commenter there will evaluate it. They might very well delete it; if they do, then we'll still be able to move it back to your userspace for you to work on more. If they keep it, then you're done! :)
You'll be able to comment at the AfD in defense of your article. I'll give you link once I've posted it. Try to keep comments at the AfD brief and polite; if someone wants to delete your article, it doesn't mean they have anything against you personally. I'll do the move and AfD now. Best wishes, Xoloz 14:37, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- The AfD is here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Elucidate (second nomination). The article is now at Elucidate, and your user subpage is empty. Best wishes, Xoloz 14:56, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Rename
As requested, I have renamed you as User:ShadoKai23. You may now like to move this page to your new username. Warofdreams talk 23:43, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
