Actually that was a joke, since I noticed you did it on your game after I did it on mine. ;) (And by the way, I used the ASCII code: Alt+3.) — $PЯINGεrαgђ 03:40, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Sigh...
I am feeling defeated, I want to get better...

Whoa!
Hello, Sean! Call me Aelita. Out of curiosity I checked out your userpage, and wow!!! I didn't even know that kind of thing was possible! Well, as you can see, my signature is already slightly more than just the blue link thing...but, I've heard that in Code Lyoko, Aelita has a new outfit. I have absolutely no clue what that outfit looks like, but if it's flashier now I'd like my sig to be flashier to match. The outfit I've seen her in isn't just pink, anyway; I need to doublecheck her page to see what other colors she has. --Aelita@Lyoko 17:25, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I've got restricted access. Even though I am interested, I can't check out that link. Anyway, you seem pretty cool. Come and talk anytime! --Aelita@Lyoko 00:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Sure! What do I have to do? High priority colors for my signature would be pink and white for the background, and maroon (is that color even available?) for the actual lettering. Cool sigs in your shop, by the way! --Aelita@Lyoko 23:08, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Pages up for deletion - heads up
Sean, you should be aware that several pages in your userspace have been nominated for deletion at WP:MfD. You should be aware of this and go over there and voice your opinion, including whether it would be okay for the pages to be deleted (the nominator seems to be of the view that they don't contribute to the encyclopedia), or whether there is a reason they should remain. Regards, Newyorkbrad 23:40, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Signature shop
And why not? In your review I said I thought you should work more on articles, but I never said there was anything wrong or bad about your efforts to be nice to people. I think your signature shop is a nice thing. Besides, now I can study my signature and try to work out how to do colors. :) ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 03:11, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- Nope. Not an administrator. Just another editor. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 03:16, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- You know, if you'd asked me that a month ago I'd have said no, because I didn't really know what use the tools would be to me. The last week or so though I've began to see how they'd be useful. I'm still not completely sure I'm ready to be an admin though. There's one person who I think would jump all over the chance to oppose me, but that's the only editing conflict I've had in over 9 months here and I think it's that person's fault more then mine. Other then that, I can't see me getting too many oppose votes. Maybe two more... I don't know. Give me the weekend to think about it and I'll let you know on Monday. (I don't know what country you are in, but in the U.S. it's Thanksgiving, so I'll be busy until Monday.) At any rate, thanks for the offer! ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 03:30, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- That's interesting that you live in Malaysia. How come you live there (if you don't mind my asking)? And what's it like? I've always wanted to visit another country, but the only one I've made it to so far is Canada. If I ever get to do what I want to do for a career I'll get to travel all over the place, but mainly what I'll see is the bad side of places :(. I'd like to see the good side of places first, but I doubt I'll have the money any time soon. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 03:56, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Happy Thanksgiving, Sean gorter!!

- Um, I just noticed (and fixed) that my No support Bush userbox was edited by you, changing it to "This user supports George W. Bush". Please don't change the wording in there, as it was made for no support for Bush. I can make you a userbox that supports Bush, if you like. But next time, please tell me if you are going to change the content of my userboxes. Gracias, y ¡adios amigo! Kyo catmeow! 23:12, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

- Mr. Gorter, the header graphic containing your name was first deleted as part of the Miscellany for Deletion process that you participated in. You reuploaded that graphic for the first time yesterday, and it was speedily deleted under Wikipedia's speedy deletion guidelines (CSD #4). You then uploaded the graphic a second time today; it was speedily deleted again under the same guidelines. Please note that continued recreation of content deleted as a result of a community deletion process is against Wikipedia policy, and violation of this policy may lead to administrators implementing appropriate disciplinary measures against you, assuming they judge such measures as appropriate. In any case, please do not continue this behavior, and accept the community's decision that the graphic in question has no place on Wikipedia. Thank you. — Whedonette (ping) 18:01, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Mr. Gorter, while I was looking through your contributions, I found this edit, in which you created a userbox that states that everybody hates you. I feel sorry that you have taken from your experiences here so far a feeling that you are hated. But, hopefully, I can demonstrate why people are unhappy with you. I'd like you to look at something: a profile of where you work on Wikipedia. You have made 912 edits on userpages and user talk pages. You have made, by comparison, 53 edits to articles. In other words, of your time so far on Wikipedia, you have spent 82% of it on people's talk pages and only 4% of it in articles. The definition of Wikipedia's purpose is this: "Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia and, as a means to that end, an online community of people interested in building a high-quality encyclopedia in a spirit of mutual respect." I don't think your contributions have demonstrated that you're actually interested in building a high-quality encyclopedia — instead, you appear to just be engaging in entertainment-related activities, in non-article-related activities (Esperanza, status indicators on your webpage, etc.), and in fixing up your userpage. I think that is why people are trying to set you on the right course. If you just want to talk with friends, there are far better venues to do it in than here: "[t]he focus of user pages should not be social networking, but rather providing a foundation for effective collaboration." I hope that the community will witness the birth of one of the most brilliant and helpful editors ever to grace its pages right here on this userpage, but if that is to take place, you need to do a massive change of direction. I only hope you do, and I wish you the best. — Whedonette (ping) 22:24, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Although it may not seem fair to you, the answer to your question is just that Celestianpower's header graphic was never put up for deletion. Once, however, an article has been nominated for deletion, and Wikipedians have voted in favor of that deletion, the rule against recreating deleted content means that graphic should not be recreated. Also, frankly, I'm disheartened that the sole reaction you have to the above was the statement you just left on my talk page. — Whedonette (ping) 12:30, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
One last thought. If you wish to contest the community's decision to delete your header graphic, this is the forum to do it in. If enough people vote there to restore your header graphic, it's back. However, if you simply continue to repost it, it is considered reposting deleted material, and it is speedily deleted. Good luck. — Whedonette (ping) 13:07, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- That having been said, I still feel the advice I gave you above is very essential to your future as an editor on Wikipedia. Only spending 4% of your entire history here on Wikipedia articles is a figure that almost any Wikipedia editor would find very concerning, if they looked at your history. Please think about what the very purpose of Wikipedia is, and whether you wish to contribute to it. There are a large amount of social networking websites out there that could better suit your purpose, if that's all that you're after. You have a certain enthusiasm, though, that could serve the project well ... if you actually apply it to what Wikipedia's purpose is. So far, you've not ... and thus, problems like this have arisen. — Whedonette (ping) 13:10, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Concordia Newsletter
Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.
Help out now!
- Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
- Give people the Civility Barnstar.
- Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
- Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
- Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.
We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.
Decision Making
The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.
If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.
