You aren't the 1000th user to be made an admin, but you will bring the total of current admins to 1000 (we have about 40 former admins who are not counted in that number). NoSeptember 14:18, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I was aware of this, but I wasn't sure how to word the box so I left it for now. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks. —Xyrael / 14:24, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe "became the 1000th current admin", or some other sort of weasel words. There are other flaws in this count, such as Danny and Dannyisme being the same person. NoSeptember 14:29, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ok "At the time of promotion he became the thousandth sysop" is too many weasel words. How about something exciting like "Xyrael broke the English wikipedia 1000th admin barrier, by becoming the 1000th admin." :) NoSeptember 14:49, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I may note that kind of thing in my blog, but I'm not sure how to get it nice in the userbox. I'd like it to take up three lines, so I'm playing around with all these ideas. Thanks for the feedback. —Xyrael / 14:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- Right, I've made a version I'm pretty happy with, but feedback is appreciated. —Xyrael / 15:02, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- How about uploading a modified version of the image with a big 1000th stamped on it. NoSeptember 15:28, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- How about, "Before Xyrael was promoted, we had 999" - better? :) - CrazyRussian talk/email 17:14, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not overly keen on that myself because I prefer to have numbers as words and that would be too long; thanks for the suggestion though. That image with #1000 stamped from bottom left to top right sounds like a nice idea, actually, so I'll give it a go. Also, this really isn't that important - it's a nice thing to have, but otherwise it's just a bit of trivia 8) —Xyrael / 17:39, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm pathetic at graphics work, so I can't come up with anything nice. Anyone else like to step in? Help appreciated; thanks. —Xyrael / 17:58, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- I would review this page to see who likes to do these image modifications, and ask them for help. (I don't do images) NoSeptember 13:02, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

- (unindent) Take credit for things whenever you can. I wrote a stub on an obscure judge once. When that judge became Chief Justice of the USA, I started pasting him all over my user pages. Almost a year later, and he's still featured there. Most people only look at your user page occasionally, so a little self promotion won't bother them ;). NoSeptember 15:59, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- Once the Signpost article comes out, then you can probably add that as a link too... ;). If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 02:53, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
