[edit] UFO Citations
thanks so much for all your contribution on the Ufo articles in wikipedia (:O). I have to note that, when you reference anything, try to use the Wikipedia:Citation templates, it helps keep everything uniform and organized (and its preferred by the wiki project hehe) (:O) -Nima Baghaei (talk) 17:28, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] List of UFO organizations
nice you added some more! just note though, there is a problem since they dont have articles on them, can you have them link to their actual website or homepage to show these organizatoins do actually exist instead of linking to a dead link "red link" for a non-existant article (:O) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 23:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- we are trying to avoid all dead links in these UFO articles that just list objects (organizations, people, etc...) ... it best to link these organizatoins directly to their homepage until someone can create an article on them (:O) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 23:36, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
-
- for example, even though this is a little different, in List of Ufologists, we have moved all dead links and unreferenced material to a subpage in order to clean out the unreferenced material in the article from the referenced and give people a chance to actally reference and/or create an article on the person ... Talk:List_of_Ufologists/nocitation (:O) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 23:38, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- you have your own orgazation! now thast very cool! well you know, if you wana to create an article on it, i really suggest finding some references before adding on, you could even make a request here Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Paranormal ... just edit the big box at the top that says "To-do list for Wikipedia:WikiProject Paranormal:" and add the article you want created (:O) ... by the way did you hear about steven greer releasing his UFO pictures? http://www.cseti.com/trainingphotos.htm (:O) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 23:43, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
-
- just make sure any article you create has references! if you dont it may get deleted (:O) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 23:44, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of MidOhio Research Associates
A tag has been placed on MidOhio Research Associates, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Realkyhick 23:48, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sligo Flag on County Sligo
Hi, SeanFromIT. I removed the County Sligo flag from the County Sligo page, as it wasn't really appropriate there (despite the Big Win. COME ON SLIGO!!) Just wanted to let you know. --The.Q | Talk to me 11:48, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:UFOIL Field Manual Cover.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:UFOIL Field Manual Cover.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:49, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
