"Surprisingly affordable" can have many definitions. For instance, I was very surprised to learn that residential properties are listed at $650 per square foot. That is 6.5 times the going rate for first class upscale residences in my home town just 4 hours away. That figure does not include beach front property. The smallest beach lots, without housing built, can be purchased for no less than one million dollars. Affordable? Not to me. I only make $200k yearly.

This article reads like a commercial for their philosophy of town design, or actually come to think of it, like a recruiting pamphlet for a cult. I'm marking it. Jaysbro 21:11, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

- "Encumbered" - implying that traditional urban planning is an unfair burden
- "Traditional" in quotation marks, to imply disdain
- "unique" and "fine-grained": undefined but positive-sounding words
- Unsupported assertion that other town planners don't hire architects
- Irrelevant material about DPZ's philosophical integrity
- "success": what measure of success is being used, and who is doing the measuring? Just the increase in property values? 10% annual increase is not all that unusual.
- "surprisingly affordable": what measure of affordable? Who's doing the measuring? Again the use of unnecessarily positive (but unnecessarily vague) words
- "learned": this word implies that the philosophy being studied is true
- "many thousands": unnecessarily vague, unncessarily positive connotation
"unncessarily positive connotation" WTF does that mean? It's an article written by one or two people that have a certain POV. Live with it. Wiki is built by articles that have a favorable viewpoint since the authors have a vested interest. - Who gives a rat's ass about socioeconomic diversity. A lack therof might just be what makes this lovely town desirable and nearly crime free. And is DPZ a corporation, or two people referred to as a single unit?

- I disagree that the mention of celebration is off-topic. Celebration is another city designed with similar goals and theory. I think a mention of celebration is fair. I feel the article is vague and could use more hard facts, but it is far from cult literature.
