[edit] Born in Pickering, ON

According to espn.com, nhl.com, and multiple web sources, Sean Avery was born in Canada. He was not born in Boston, MA, as is listed on this page, which currently can not be edited. Could someone change this?

[edit] Tool?

"During the 2005 preseason was quoted as making derogatory remarks about French Canadian hockey players after Denis Gauthier of the Phoenix Coyotes took a cheap shot at Kings Foward Jeremy Roenick in a preseason game" I don't think that's very NPOV, especially since it was a clean hit, which Avery even admitted. So it's gone. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by AMac2002 (talkcontribs) 09:11, April 13, 2006.

The "Playing style" section was a poorly written joke that would have been mildly funny if it wasn't so wrong and full of glaring errors. Perhaps Wiki should implement some sort of basic intelligence test (2+2=?) before people are allowed to make edits. The section is gone. Scapermoya 23:00, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Now Infamous Ice Sluts Game

First, whether you think Sean Avery is a "prick" or not is irrelevant, this is an article about him as a hockey player, nothing more.

As for the Islander Ice Girl thing, please remove it. It was something completley blown out of proportion by one the local New York Newspapers. The girls' own quotes in the article even contradict what they claimed Lundquist and Avery of saying (or doing). I had friends at the game, who are big Isles fans as well, and big time NON-Avery fans who said the whole thing was bs and embarrassing considering the Isles had a big game coming up and this is what the Long Island Press was talking up. Avery and Lundquist were discussing what was going on during breaks and I'm sure they weren't being boyscouts with their language, but that's a conversation between them and the ref and not with them and the ice sluts. I'll delete it if I can. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.68.244.251 (talk) 17:05, 11 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Height

He's routinely listed (ESPN, Yahoo Sports, CBS Sportsline, Fox Sports, ect...) at 5'9". In fact, only his team, the New York Rangers, give him 5'10". I assume 5'10" is just the official billed height with his current team, but he's really only 5'9", so that needs to be corrected.

[edit] Spleen injury

It was erroneously reported that Avery was rushed to the hospital in full cardiac arrest when he actually walked in the hospital under his own power. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.186.82.106 (talk) 21:43, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
