FWIW: I just stumbled across a post by Dr. Roberts on another forum where he references the Recce as the SPR-D. I've also found a July 2002 solicitation by NSWDG for a variety of weapon parts including barrels specificly identified as being for the M4A1 Recon Rifle. D.E. Watters 03:23, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
