Sean Wight

John Phillips "Sean" Wight (born March 15, 1964 in Scotland) is a former Australian rules footballer in the VFL/AFL.

He played for the Melbourne Football Club between 1985 and 1995, playing 150 games and scoring 63 goals. While he was born in Scotland, Wight is of Irish ethnicity and was recruited to Melbourne as part of the mid-1980s Irish experiment held by the VFL to convert Gaelic football players, which also yielded the emergence of another Irish great, Jim Stynes.

He played in a Demons night premiership winning side in 1987.
