Sean St Ledger-Hall (born 28 December 1984 in Birmingham) is a footballer for Football League Championship Side Preston North End. Attended Corpus Christi RC Primary School and Archbishop Grimshaw School where he gained his A'levels.

St Ledger is a central defender by trade but has played on either flank, and midfield during his spell with Peterborough United. He joined Stevenage Borough on-loan in January 2004 alongside Richard Scott, but he failed to make an appearance, only making it onto the bench twice.

Impressive Displays linked him with a move to Aston Villa and Birmingham City. However it was Preston that made a firm bid and he joined them on a three year contract for a fee of £225,000 on 7 July 2006.

Steve Staunton learned of his qualification for the Republic of Ireland through his grandfather, who is from Carlow and he was called into the Republic of Ireland squad for the Euro 2008 qualifier against Germany.

In 2004-2005, St Ledger became the only player in Peterborough United's history to win every single player of the year awards, these included Player of the year, Young player of the year, BBC Radio Cambridge Player of the year and Supporters Player of the year and Peterborough evening Telegraph Player Of The Year. Sadly, the season ended in relegation to League 2 for Peterborough United.

St Ledger starred in Sky's Big Ron Manager, a behind the scenes look at Peterborough United's struggle to enter the League 2 play offs at the end of the 2005-06 season. St Ledgers' attitude unfairly came in for much criticism by Posh fans and he sadly took some of the blame for their failure to reach the play offs.

But after his move to Preston North End he has flourished and formed a formidable partnership with Liam Chilvers. He has had many call ups to the Ireland international squad but has yet to play a full international.

St Ledger, tipped as the future Preston Captain continued with his good performances for Preston North End and swept the board at the Player of the Year awards 2007-2008 winning 7 player of the year awards in recognition of yet another outstanding season at Deepdale.
